এই মর্মে জানানো যাচ্ছে যে, আগামী ২০ আগস্ট ২০২৫ খ্রি, বুধবার আখেরি চাহার সোম্বা উপলক্ষ্যে ভিরাল্লা সাদত খান উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় বন্ধ থাকবে। এদিন সকল শ্রেণির পাঠদান ও সহশিক্ষা কার্যক্রম স্থগিত থাকবে। পরবর্তী কার্যদিবসে যথারীতি পাঠদান চলবে।

আখেরি চাহার সোম্বা:
আখেরি চাহার সোম্বা বলতে হিজরী বছরের শেষ বুধবারকে বোঝানো হয়। মুসলিম সমাজে এ দিনকে বিশেষ তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ মনে করা হয়।
ঐতিহাসিকভাবে বিশ্বাস করা হয়, এদিন নবী করিম (সা.) অসুস্থতার সময় কিছুটা সুস্থ হয়ে সাহাবিদের সঙ্গে মসজিদে এসে নামাজ আদায় করেছিলেন। যদিও পরবর্তীতে তিনি আবার অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়েন এবং অল্প কিছুদিন পর ইন্তেকাল করেন। এই ঘটনার স্মৃতিকে কেন্দ্র করেই দিনটিকে “আখেরি চাহার সোম্বা” নামে অনেক জায়গায় স্মরণ করা হয়।
দিনটি পালনের মূল কারণ:
- বছরের শেষ সময়ে নিজের আমল পর্যালোচনা করা,
- গোনাহ থেকে আন্তরিকভাবে তওবা করা,
- নতুন বছরে নেক কাজের অঙ্গীকার করা,
- অতীত থেকে শিক্ষা নিয়ে ভবিষ্যৎ জীবনকে সুন্দর করার প্রতিশ্রুতি গ্রহণ।
যদিও ইসলামী শরীয়তে এদিনের জন্য কোনো বিশেষ ইবাদত নির্ধারিত নেই, তবে আত্মসমালোচনা, আল্লাহর কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা এবং উত্তম জীবনের অঙ্গীকার করাই দিনটির প্রকৃত তাৎপর্য বহন করে।

About Akheri Chahar Somba
Akheri Chahar Somba refers to the last Wednesday of the Hijri year, observed with significance in many Muslim communities.
According to historical belief, during his final illness, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) once felt better on a Wednesday and came to the mosque to pray with his companions. Shortly afterwards, his health declined again, and he passed away within a few days. This event is remembered by many Muslims as the background of observing Akheri Chahar Somba.
The main reasons for observing this day are:
- to reflect on one’s deeds of the past year,
- to sincerely repent from sins,
- to make commitments for good deeds in the coming year,
- to take lessons from the past and pledge for a righteous future.
Although Islamic law does not prescribe any specific ritual for this day, self-reflection, repentance, and commitments to righteous living give the day its true meaning.
